Sombr‘s apparent attack at the Brit Awards was a staged stunt.

The 20-year-old singer-songwriter was performing his single “Undressed” during the ceremony on Saturday (February 27) when a random man ran on stage and pushed the singer off the platform. He also pulled down the curtain behind him, revealing a half-circle of stage lights.

A security guard ran onstage to assist the singer, who looked stunned, but Variety has now confirmed with his rep that he was never in any real danger.

Some people were already debating whether or not it was a real incident or something staged as the guy was wearing a shirt that said: “Sombr is a homewrecker,” referring to his latest single “Homewrecker.”
