Apple TV Cancels Kristen Wiig's 'Palm Royale' Series After 2 Season
Kristen Wiig‘s acclaimed series Palm Royale has been canceled after just two seasons on Apple TV.
Deadline reports that the season two finale will now serve as the series finale.
The series was described as “a true underdog story that follows Maxine Simmons (Wiig) as she endeavors to break into Palm Beach high society. As Maxine attempts to cross that impermeable line between the haves and the have-nots, Palm Royale asks the same question that still baffles us today: ‘How much of yourself are you willing to sacrifice to get what someone else has?’”
The show earned 11 Emmy nominations for its first season, including Outstanding Comedy Series and acting noms for Kristen and co-star Carol Burnett.
This past weekend, Kristen attended the Actor Awards as a nominee for season two.
