In the Ayawaso East Constituency of Greater Accra, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary primary held on 7 February 2026 has reinvigorated a national debate on the cost of politics in Ghana especially after widespread allegations that vote-buying, inducements, and high campaign spending characterized the exercise.
