Plane engine catches fire mid-air over Los Angeles

Tengrinews.kz – A Delta Airlines passenger jet experienced an engine fire shortly after takeoff from Los Angeles International Airport, ABC7 reports.
The Boeing 767, operating as Flight 446 to Atlanta, was carrying 226 passengers and nine crew members when the left engine reportedly caught fire.
Pilots safely returned the aircraft to the airport. The plane landed without further incident and taxied to the gate under its own power. No signs of fire remained upon arrival, and all passengers disembarked normally.

Delta arranged a replacement aircraft to complete the journey. Fire crews inspected the plane as a precaution, and an investigation into the incident has been launched.
