Earthquake occurs near Lake Alakol

Tengrinews.kz – An earthquake occurred near Lake Alakol in the Zhetysu region.
According to the Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Centre, a magnitude 3.8 earthquake struck on July 24 at 08:47 a.m. Astana time, located 124 kilometers northeast of the city of Sarkand.

According to operational data from the Kazakhstan Data Center, the earthquake was located 27 kilometers southeast of the city of Usharal, with a magnitude of 3.7.
As a reminder, on July 23, an earthquake occurred in eastern Kazakhstan. Tremors measuring 4 points were felt by residents of the Abai and East Kazakhstan regions.
