Cyclone sticks around: Where Kazakhstan will see heavy rains and cooler weather

Tengrinews.kz - Kazhydromet meteorologists have issued the weather forecast for August 14, 15, and 16.
Cyclone will continue its influence
According to forecasters, a northwestern cyclone will keep affecting most of Kazakhstan. The west, as well as the northern, central, and eastern regions, can expect rain — at times heavy — along with thunderstorms, hail, and squally winds. In some areas of the southern half of the country, short showers with thunderstorms are expected despite high temperatures. Wind speeds will increase across the country, and in the north and east, fog is possible at night and in the early morning.
Temperature outlook

West: Nighttime lows of 13… 18°C, daytime highs of 20… 30°C.
Northwest and North: 10… 18°C at night, 18… 26°C during the day.
Central and Southwest: Slight drop in heat — from 25… 33°C down to 20… 28°C in the daytime.
South and Southeast: From 33… 38°C cooling to 30… 35°C.
East: Hot weather continues, with daytime highs around 25… 30°C.

Kazakhstan weather forecast for August
Earlier, Kazhydromet released its forecast for August 2025. Most of the country is expected to experience moderately hot weather, while temperatures in the south and southwest are projected to exceed seasonal norms.
