Sky Sports: Club have asked the conditions to sign £30m Arsenal star

0

Fenerbahce are interested in signing one of Arsenal’s outcasts this summer, according to Sky Sports.

The Gunners have made a huge outlay of almost £200 million on six signings.

The hierarchy now need to recoup funds to extend the club’s spending spree.

Sky Sports today claim that Fenerbahce are keen on signing Oleksandr Zinchenko.

The Turkish outfit have ‘explored the conditions of a deal’ for the 28-year-old.

Zinchenko has entered the final year of his contract with the Gunners.

Arsenal likely to part ways with Zinchenko this summer

The £30 million signing has fallen out of favour under manager Mikel Arteta over the past year.

Riccardo Calafiori’s arrival and Myles Lewis-Skelly’s emergence have meant that Zinchenko has become a fringe player for the left-back position. Jurrien Timber has also occasionally occupied the role.

With less than a year left on his deal, it makes sense for the Gunners to sanction his sale rather than lose him on a free next year. Fenerbahce are one of the clubs capable of paying his current wages.

With the low taxes in Turkey, the Istanbul giants could be prepared to match his £150,000 per week salary. The big question is whether they are ready to meet Arsenal’s valuation for a transfer.

The Gunners have set a price tag of £20m for the former Manchester City man, but it has been claimed that Fenerbahce have offered £3m for a loan deal with a £10m option to buy next summer.

Such a move does not make sense with Zinchenko’s contract expiring in June next year. An initial loan could be granted, provided Fenerbahce include an obligation to buy for a similar amount.
