Kazakh woman causes scene before boarding flight

Tengrinews.kz – A video showing a Kazakh passenger demanding an apology from airline staff before boarding a flight has gone viral online, sparking heated discussion among social media users. The incident has since been addressed by the airline’s press service.
The footage, shared on Instagram, shows the woman arguing with staff at the boarding gate, though the beginning of the confrontation is not included, leaving the cause unclear.
Airline’s response
FlyArystan confirmed the incident occurred on September 5 on flight FS7310 from Shymkent to Astana.


“Two passengers arrived late at the check-in counter at 01:59, while registration had closed at 01:35. Despite the delay, ground staff showed leniency toward a passenger with limited mobility and their companion: they helped with hand luggage, escorted them to the aircraft and allowed them to board,” the company said.

The airline added that the companion “repeatedly displayed disruptive behavior toward staff, verbally insulting them”. She continued to raise her voice and film employees at the aircraft door.

“Although the delay and disruptive actions were grounds for removal from the flight, given the elderly passenger’s special needs, it was decided to allow both travelers to board. The companion eventually calmed down and proceeded onto the aircraft,” FlyArystan said.

The airline confirmed that both passengers ultimately departed on their scheduled flight.
