“Will become one of the most important events in the country’s life” — Tokayev on Kurultai elections

Tengrinews.kz — President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev stressed that Kazakhstan has embarked on a path of comprehensive modernisation, reflected in fundamental changes across all areas of public life, according to the Akorda press service.
The Head of State recalled that truly historic decisions had been made that would shape the nation’s future.

“We held a nationwide referendum and adopted a new Constitution. Our citizens voted for the new Basic Law. Kazakh wisdom says: ‘Unity is the source of prosperity.’ The unity of the people is the unshakable foundation for the growth and prosperity of our state.
Soon, for the first time in Kazakhstan’s history, elections to the Kurultai will be held, which will undoubtedly become one of the most important events in the life of the country. The election campaign is now in full swing. Political parties are demonstrating high standards of political culture.
We are on the threshold of momentous events. A highly responsible period lies ahead. I am confident that, united, we will be able to channel all our experience and energy for the benefit of our Motherland,” Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said.

Kazakhstanis will be able to find out in advance where they are due to vote in the Kurultai elections, which will be held on August 23, 2026. The Central Election Commission previously launched an online service allowing voters to find their polling station using their Individual Identification Number (IIN).
To find a polling station, users need to select their region of residence and enter their IIN, after which the system will display the polling station number and address.

The service is also available in the eGov Mobile app. Users need to open the “Popular Services” section and select the polling station search service.
