Kazakh seismologists record two earthquakes in China

Tengrinews.kz — Kazakh seismologists recorded two earthquakes in China overnight on August 19.
According to the Kazakhstan Data Center of the Institute of Geophysical Research at the National Nuclear Center, the first earthquake occurred at 2:36 a.m. Astana time. Its epicenter was located in Qinghai Province. The earthquake had a magnitude of 5.8.

The second earthquake was recorded at 3:53 a.m. Astana time. Its epicenter was in China, near the border with Kyrgyzstan. The magnitude was 4.5.

As a reminder, on August 12, residents of Almaty felt an earthquake that occurred in Kyrgyzstan. The epicenter of the magnitude 5.1 earthquake was located about 127 kilometers southeast of Bishkek and 71 kilometers northwest of Naryn.
