The New York Times, in its Facebook page, shared a video of a cooking demo on how to prepare Kung pao chicken, also known as gongbao jiding. Craig Smith, the managing director of the Times’s Chinese-language operations, is with Chef Chao, head of beijingcookingschool.com, in a courtyard that was once home to an imperial official of the Qing dynasty.
