On the Beat: Gamecocks collecting items for Baton Rouge flood relief

COLUMBIA — South Carolina will collect items to assist the flood-ravaged residents of Baton Rouge, La., repaying efforts by LSU and the Louisiana capital city in the wake of devastating flooding in Columbia last fall.
