Ronnie Dayan, the controversial driver linked romantically to Senator Leila de Lima, has been tapped as the principal resource person in the upcoming congressional investigation into the alleged illegal drugs trade going on inside the New Bilibid Prison (NBP) during her stint as Justice Secretary. Mindoro Oriental Rep. Reynaldo Umali, chairman of the House Committee on Justice, disclosed yesterday that the House panel will also send an invitation to De Lima to attend the hearing expected to be held in the third week of this month. However, Umali stressed the justice panel will accept De Lima’s decision on the invitation, saying that the Lower House will observe parliamentary courtesy.
