NSC carries out arrests in Almaty
Tengrinews.kz - Officers of the National Security Committee (NSC), in coordination with the Prosecutor's Office, dismantled two underground drug laboratories and a large warehouse storing chemical precursors in Almaty, citing the agency’s press service.
It was reported that three Kazakh citizens were detained while producing illegal substances. By court decision, the suspects have been placed in pre-trial detention.
During the operation, more than 15 kilograms of mephedrone, 650 liters of chemical precursors, and laboratory equipment used in drug production were seized.
A pre-trial investigation is being conducted under Article 297 of the Criminal Code ("Illegal manufacturing, processing, acquisition, storage, transportation for the purpose of sale").

Additional details are not subject to disclosure in accordance with Part 1 of Article 201 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Earlier, the Organized Crime Control Department of the Almaty Police Department, together with the NSC and the Prosecutor’s Office, detained a group of individuals suspected of committing a series of serious crimes.
