How Kazakhstan evacuated its citizens from the Middle East
Tengrinews.kz - Kazakhstan has completed another stage of evacuating its citizens from Israel, Iran, and Gulf countries, citing the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
On June 25, Kazakhstan’s embassies in Israel and Egypt organized the evacuation of 37 people, including 13 citizens of Kyrgyzstan and Russia. The next day, the group safely arrived in Shymkent on a SCAT Airlines flight from Cairo to Shymkent. The total number of evacuees from Israel has reached 103.

From Iran, with the assistance of Kazakhstan’s embassies in Tehran, Ashgabat, Baku, and Yerevan, 233 citizens were evacuated since the escalation of tensions began. Of these, 135 people left the country through Turkmenistan, 25 through Azerbaijan, and 73 through Armenia.

In addition, from June 23 to 25, due to the temporary closure of airspace, many Kazakhstanis were unable to depart on time from Qatar and the UAE. Kazakhstan’s consular services provided the necessary support. From June 24 to 27, with the help of diplomatic missions, more than 1,900 people returned to Kazakhstan.
“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan expresses sincere gratitude to the authorities of Iran, Israel, Turkmenistan, Egypt, Azerbaijan, Armenia, the UAE, and Qatar for their prompt assistance and constructive cooperation in ensuring the safe departure of Kazakh citizens,” the statement said.
