Tokayev briefed on army’s combat readiness

Tengrinews.kz – Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has received Minister of Defence Dauren Kosanov, Akorda reports.

The President and Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, heard a report on the results of the work of the defence ministry for 2025.

Dauren Kosanov briefed him on the state of combat readiness of the army and the progress of implementing the priorities for the development of the Armed Forces, and reported on measures to introduce digital technologies, on military-patriotic work, and on improvements to military infrastructure.

In addition, the head of the Defence Ministry presented information on the implementation of the President’s instructions to restore discipline and order within the ranks of the Armed Forces.

Following the meeting, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief assigned the minister specific tasks on maintaining the army’s combat readiness and strengthening military discipline and the rule of law.
