What is known about the earthquake in Kyrgyzstan felt by Almaty residents

Tengrinews.kz — Details have emerged about the earthquake in Kyrgyzstan that was felt by residents of Almaty.
According to the Institute of Seismology of the National Academy of Sciences of Kyrgyzstan, the magnitude 5.4 earthquake had its epicentre 15 kilometres southeast of the village of Ak-Tuz, 45 kilometres southwest of the village of Kochkorka and 117 kilometres southeast of Bishkek.

In Kyrgyzstan, the earthquake intensity was recorded at:

4 points — in the villages of Ak-Chiy and Cholpon;3 points — in the villages of Kochkor and Kuiruchuk;2.5 points — in Bishkek.

How it was felt in Almaty
Earlier, Almaty residents reported feeling tremors on social media. Kazakhstan’s Emergency Ministry confirmed that the earthquake was felt in the city. According to official data, the intensity of the tremors in Almaty was 2 points. No casualties or damage were reported.
