Kazakh man sent to sweep streets after TikTok livestream
Tengrinews.kz — A Kazakh man was ordered to sweep streets after a livestream on social media.
A resident of Kyzylorda Region was sentenced to 60 hours of community service for using obscene language during a TikTok livestream.
Police identified the 36-year-old resident of Syrdarya District, who repeatedly used profanity during the broadcast.
At the time of the offense, the man was intoxicated.
The court found him guilty of petty hooliganism and sentenced him to 60 hours of community service. He is currently serving the sentence by sweeping streets, removing weeds and carrying out other socially useful work.
Police reminded the public that posting content on social media does not exempt anyone from responsibility for unlawful behavior.
“The internet is not a lawless territory. A livestream does not exempt anyone from responsibility. Unlawful behavior has consequences regardless of where it takes place — on the street or on social media,” Kyzylorda Region police warned.
It should be noted that the day before, Astana police detained and fined a woman who sang songs containing obscene language near the Triumphal Arch in the city center. The 25-year-old woman was a citizen of another country. She posted a video on TikTok that violated standards of public morality. By court order, she was given an administrative fine of 86,500 tenge.
