Deutsche Bank announced Friday it would buy back more than $5 billion in outstanding debt. The news comes at the tail end of a week that saw Deutsche Bank's shares battered by investors concerned over the German lender's ability to meet its bond payments and legal costs.  “The bank’s strong liquidity position allows it to repurchase these securities without any corresponding change to its 2016 funding plan,” the bank said in a statement.

Apple is unlikely to include noise-cancelling headphones with the iPhone 7, according to a Barclays analyst note published on Friday.

The note covers Cirrus Logic, a key Apple supplier and one of the companies most likely to benefit if Apple were to ditch the traditional headphone jack, as is expected, which would force headphones to connect through Bluetooth or Apple's proprietary Lightning connector instead.

Kanye West took to Twitter on Friday morning to defend a song released on his new album, "Famous," that makes an unflattering reference to Taylor Swift.

"I made that b---- famous," he says on "Famous," referring in the lyrics to a "Taylor" who is clearly Swift and saying he might still sleep with her.

Swift, through a publicist, has already denied giving her blessing for the track and says she instead cautioned West against such a "misogynistic" message.
