Muni train derails near S.F. State

A Muni train with six passengers aboard derailed Friday morning near San Francisco State University, shutting down the station and leaving the transit agency scrambling to provide alternative service, officials said. No one was injured in the 6:20 a.m. M train derailment at the Muni stop at 19th and Holloway avenues, said Paul Rose, a spokesman for the agency. Service in the area, Rose said, was being replaced with buses while crews worked to get the train back on the rails.
