TOPEKA, Kan. (AP) — Authorities say a motorist has died after driving into the path of an Amtrak train in Topeka. The Topeka Capital-Journal (http://bit.ly/1Pro9sB ) reports that the collision happened early Friday when the motorist drove around a crossing gate. The Shawnee County Sheriff's Department said in a news release that the train then hit the motorist's car. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Sgt.
