Nissan recalls nearly 4 million vehicles for airbag problems

NEW YORK (AP) — Nearly 4 million Nissan cars are being recalled due to major safety problems where passenger air bags or seat belts could fail in a crash, leading to serious injuries or fatalities.

The two recalls are just the latest in a string of safety problems to hit automakers in the past year with Acura, BMW, Chrysler, Ford, Honda, Lexus, Mazda, Toyota and other manufactures having to recall cars over air bag problems.

Johnson scores twice to lift Tampa Bay

Tyler Johnson had two goals and an assist and the Tampa Bay Lightning beat the visiting New York Islanders 4-1 on Saturday to even the second-round series at a game apiece. Radek Faksa scored the tie-breaking goal on a rebound with 4:44 to play as the host Dallas Stars opened the second round of the Western Conference playoffs with a 2-1 victory over the St. Louis Blues. After Faksa pushed the puck up the ice, Ales Hemsky took a shot that was stopped but not secured by Blues goalie Brian Elliott.
