SEATTLE (AP) — A school district in western Washington is considering a two-year ban for its celebrated football coach after a report pointed to possible misconduct. State rules require such payments to be approved by the school board, but a recent report from the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association says that never happened at Bellevue.

Depomed, a specialty pharmaceutical company that makes painkillers and other drugs, was Smith's first idea.

Smith said that Depomed has not scaled the business to an appropriate size, leading to a mis-allocation of capital on drugs that are not valuable.
