U.S. stocks open higher to rebound off Monday's tepid trade

U.S. stocks opened firmly higher Tuesday as Wall Street tried to shake off yesterday's sluggish start to the week. The Dow Jones Industrial Average opened 108 points, or 0.6%, higher at 17,603, the S&P 500 index picked up 1` points, or 0.6%, to 2,059. CAIRO (Reuters) - The head of Egypt's forensics authority dismissed a suggestion on Tuesday that the small size of the body parts retrieved since an EgyptAir plane crashed last week indicated there was an explosion on board.

Investigators struggling to work out why the Airbus 320 jet vanished from radar screens last Thursday, with 66 passengers and crew on board, are looking for clues in the human remains and debris recovered from the Mediterranean Sea so far.
