Second half of 2016 kicks off with tentative stock-market advance

The Los Angeles Lakers made the first shocking move of NBA free agency, signing Russian 7-footer Timofey Mozgov to a whopping four-year, $64 million contract.

The Vertical's Adrian Wojnarowski first reported the deal in the early hours of Friday.

Among those was the five-year, $139 million max contract for Toronto Raptors wing DeMar DeRozan.
