SEATTLE (AP) — The cost of gas went up overnight as Washington state's new fuel tax went into effect. KOMO-TV reports (http://bit.ly/29ckPTy ) that the gas tax increased 4.9 cents as of Friday as part of a nearly 10-cent boost in the tax over the next year. Another 4.9-cent increase takes effect next summer.
