[...] on my first full day in the Olympic city, I ventured to see another scary thing: the waters of Guanabara Bay. Raw sewage dumps directly into the bay. The Associated Press reported Monday that the levels of viruses in the water remain at dangerous levels, putting athletes and visitors at risk. The main Olympic Park is basically a distant suburb from the heart of Rio.
