When former "Daily Show" host Jon Stewart signed a four-year production contract with HBO last fall, the details of the deal were cryptic and simply promised a "short-form digital content" series from Stewart.

Now we know that Stewart's HBO program will be an "animated parody of a cable news network," according to a Variety report.

What do you see when you look at the blob above? I see just that: a blob. Some colorblind people will see, apparently, the number 21. Color-sighted folks will see a 74.

This image comes from the Ishihara test, one of the oldest methods for determining whether or not a person is colorblind. Usually, a colorblind person has a reasonably good chance of figuring it out for themselves. Speaking for myself, I found out as a toddler when my dad started pointing out trees turning red... This hidden treasure set in a gloriously unspoilt village is a modern day version of a country tavern – it’s at once a genuine pub that brews its own very smooth ales; a lovely restaurant with real local flavour; and a charming hotel with rural-chic bedrooms.

Throughout Tuesday, major automakers are reporting their US sales numbers for July.

So far, the so-called big three — Ford, Fiat Chrysler, and GM — have reported sales numbers below expectations. Ford and GM reported declines.

Joe LaVorgna, the chief US economist at Deutsche Bank, had said in a preview that, "If vehicle sales continue to moderate, it would provide early evidence that we have likely seen the peak in consumption growth for the cycle."
