Researchers have discovered an unprecedented quirk of the sixth mass extinction event that the world appears to be entering.

Conditions in many older county jails are grim, dangerous

The USS Jackson, an Independence-class Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) meant for patrols in shallow water, just passed the first of three scheduled "shock trials."
