Domestic violence suspect shot by officer in the Bronx

NEW YORK (AP) — An officer shot and critically wounded a 19-year-old man who police say assaulted his girlfriend at a Bronx apartment and then advanced on responding officers with a large knife. Police were on patrol in the borough's Hunts Point section when a woman with visible injuries approached a squad car around 7:15 p.m. Wednesday and said her boyfriend assaulted her.
