Amber Rudd faced the fury of MPs in the Commons on Thursday after her department announced that the government would only take in 350 child refugees.

Ministers agreed last year to accept 3,000 unaccompanied child refugees in the country, thanks to an amendment put forward by Lord Dubs, and has so far taken 200. However, immigration minister Robert Goodwill said on Wednesday that the scheme would end after taking in an extra 150 children.
