For three months, the zoo was a staging ground for ISIS fighters. More than forty of the zoo animals died, either as collateral damage—trapped between warring combatants—or from starvation. Amazon launches subscription service marketplace

Amazon.com Inc. said Monday that it has launched a self-service marketplace for digital subscription businesses. Digital subscriptions currently available on the Amazon site include lifestyle, news, and streaming content services like SlingTV, eMeals and LegalZoom. The Subscribe with Amazon program also allows users to take advantage of Prime member discounts. Amazon shares are up 21% for the year so far while the S&P 500 index is up 6% for the period.

On Monday, Thomas Demetrio, the lawyer for Dr. David Dao, confirmed that his client planned to sue United Airlines as a result of the passenger's violent removal from a flight.

The veteran Chicago-based plaintiff's attorney told the "Today" show that his client was physically and emotionally hurt after being "dragged off of the plane like a sack of potatoes."
