Federal judge stays order over plan given to Trump

(AP) — A magistrate judge has agreed to stay an order requiring Kansas' top elections officials to turn over proposed changes to voting rights laws that he took to a meeting with President Donald Trump. At issue is whether Kobach will have to turn over two documents to plaintiffs in a lawsuit challenging a state law requiring voters provide proof of their U.S. citizenship when registering.

Russian marathon runner Mayorova banned for doping

MOSCOW — Russia’s track and field federation says veteran marathon runner Albina Mayorova has been banned for four years for doping. The All-Russia Athletics Federation said Monday that the suspension was handed down by the Court of Arbitration for Sport after the two-time Olympian tested positive for excess testosterone in a test taken last year.

Dubai state-backed DAE buys aircraft leasing firm AWAS

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (AP) — Aircraft leasing company Dubai Aerospace Enterprise has agreed to buy rival AWAS, more than tripling the size of its fleet.
