Cops trying to identify human remains found near Gilroy

A set of skeletal remains was discovered Wednesday outside of Gilroy by a Pacific Gas and Electric Co. crew working in the area, authorities said Thursday

The remains were found near the intersection of Santa Teresa Boulevard and Castro Valley Road in unincorporated Santa Clara County, said Sgt. James Jensen, a spokesman for the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office.

Investigators do not believe they are those of missing teen Sierra Lamar, officials said.
