3 schools with names tied to Confederacy to be renamed

HOUSTON (AP) — The Houston Independent School District Board of Education has voted to begin the process of renaming three schools named after men tied to the Confederacy.

Each campus will be required to form a school-naming committee comprised of staff, students, parents, and school stakeholders.
