Calvin College gets $1 million for science, nursing programs

The Grand Rapids school says the estate of the late Dr. Bernard "Bernie" and Lorraine Goris Klamer made the gift that's to be split between the biology, chemistry and nursing departments.

The money will be used for scholarship endowments and research fellowships for all three departments and will support the nursing program's community nursing component.
