Guard medic in Flint credited with helping ill resident

(AP) — The state says a National Guard medic assisting in responding to Flint's crisis with lead-tainted water is credited with helping to save the life of a resident.

Charles D. Colwell, who is among 65 National Guard soldiers on duty in Flint, is being recommended for the Michigan Lifesaving Medal.
