Federal suit filed against railroad in 2014 derailment

No one was injured in the February 2014 derailment, but the metals firm says a train car pierced one of the company's Vandergrift buildings, located about 30 miles northeast of Pittsburgh

The lawsuit says excessive speed, poor operation by an engineer trainee, and poorly maintained train tracks caused the derailment.
