New Mexico city bans feeding of pigeons, violators face jail

The city says the ordinance will help eliminate some of the health risks associated with pigeon droppings.

Eddy County Extension Office program director Woods Houghton says pigeons communicate a lot of known diseases to both livestock and humans.
