It was the week that saw firefighters purposely torch houses in Kilburn and an IRA bomb end a 17-month-long ceasefire.

A 17-month ceasefire ended in 1996 when the IRA bombed the Docklands. The force was felt at Canary Wharf and caused £150 million in property damage.

This week in London trawls the archives to bring you the key events that have taken place in the capital during the past century.

London Live's Toby Earle takes a look back at some of the highlights from the second week of February.
