Cal’s Daniel Lasco, Kenny Lawler go in 7th round of NFL draft

The long wait to make the NFL ended in the seventh round Saturday for two former Cal players.

[...] hip and ankle injuries limited Lasco to 65 carries for 331 yards and three touchdowns this past season.

A month later, he broke the combine record for running backs with a broad jump of 11 feet, 3 inches.

The 6-foot-3, 195-pound Lawler left Cal tied for second with Bobby Shaw (1994-97) with 27 career touchdown catches.

Other potential free-agent signees include wide receivers Maurice Harris, Bryce Treggs and Darius Powe, defensive tackle Mustafa Jalil, linebacker Jalen Jefferson, defensive end Kyle Kragen, safety Stefan McClure, offensive lineman and cornerback Darius White.
