Agricultural experts stated that farm gate rates of sesame would drop by Rs10 this year. While the current rates are above Rs90, experts said that the rate may vary from Rs81 to Rs85. Availability of buffer stock from last year's production and an increased production of sesame in Tamil Nadu, this year have led to the fall in prices.
