Man Utd delay Leicester City’s moment to be crowned Premier League champions
– Leicester City played an engaging 1 – 1 draw with Manchester United at Old Trafford
– Anthony Martial’s opener was cancelled out by a spectacular Wes Morgan header at the other end
– Leicester will have to wait till Monday to know if they would be crowned Premier League Champions
– On Monday, Tottenham play Chelsea with a draw or win for the Blue giving Leicester the League title
A very engaging encounter at Old Trafford saw Manchester United hold Leicester City one-all at as the Foxes have to wait to be announced Premier League champions.
Leicester came into the game knowing that a win would guarantee them the Premier League crown with two games to go but United were in turn looking to boost their Champions League place chances with a goal.
Martial put United in front from an Antonio Valencia cross but Wes Morgan equalized eight minutes later after Kasper Schmeihel spectacularly denied Jesse Lingard from making it 2 – 0.
In the second half De gea had to be at his best to deny Ulloa while Chris Smalling hit the post.
Leiciester will not look at the Tottenham vs Chelsea game to see if they would be crowned champions.
A draw or win for Chelsea would see the Foxes crowned Champions in what is the most spectacular Premier League win of all time.
