Is Draymond Green among the best? Just ask him
After Tuesday’s shootaround, in advance of Game 2 of the Western Conference semifinals, the ebullient Warriors forward held court with the media and you could feel the confidence and joy he brings to the court.
When he was told that coach Steve Kerr called him one of the top 10 players in the league, Green started clowning.
“No, I’m just playing,” he said, flashing his Magic Johnson smile.
When asked about frontcourt mate Andrew Bogut saying Green might be the best “all-around” player in the league, Green didn’t hesitate.
Green has upped his game since Stephen Curry went down with an injury in the first round of the playoffs.
[...] he’s leading the team down the court, facilitating as a point forward, playing defense against centers, scoring from inside and out.
Green’s got all kinds of game and a big personality to match.
Going forward in the second-round series against Portland, Green said he was looking for the Trail Blazers to use their four-guard lineup as a strategy against the defending champs.
