GOA Ammosexual: Accidental Gun Deaths Are Just 'Occasional Mishaps'
Gun Owners of America, the organization that makes the NRA seem like a liberal alliance, is fueled by the paranoid misinformation that Americans' gun rights will be usurped by our Kenyan-born gun-grabber in chief. They are always trying to be relevant, so they create a buzz around themselves with outlandish comments and opinions. What's the latest attention-mongering tactic by the GOA? Accidental gun deaths should be considered occasional mishaps and are just a normal part of being a 'free society.'
This year has been especially bad for victims of these 'mishaps.'
With shootings by preschoolers happening at a pace of about two per week, some of the victims were the youngsters’ parents or siblings, but in many cases the children ended up taking their own lives.
This has hit many in my own circle close to home. Our community experienced a tragedy with a close associate who lost their daughter. A young girl of 13 lost her life to an unsecured firearm and this 'mishap' will forever change their lives. To a parent of a lost child, this is anything but a mishap. It is a tragedy of unspeakable horror. A tragic gun accident is not a natural consequence of being a 'free' 2nd Amendment-embracing nation. How truly unacceptable that we don't have laws that would immensely diminish the frequency of these tragedies.
