Correction: Cal State Faculty-Contract story

LOS ANGELES (AP) — In a story May 3 about California State University faculty approving a tentative three-year contract, The Associated Press reported erroneously that one provision would extend tenure vestment from five to 10 years for employees hired after July 1, 2017.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — The union representing nearly 30,000 teachers in the nation's largest public university system said Tuesday that its rank-and-file members have overwhelmingly approved a new, three-year contract that grants raises totaling 10.5 percent over the next 14 months.

White said CSU and union officials would have to lobby the state Legislature and the governor for the rest of the money.
