2 students hit after getting off school bus in Bremerton

BREMERTON, Wash. (AP) — Authorities say two teenage girls were hit by an SUV and injured after getting off a school bus in Bremerton.

The Kitsap Sun reports (http://goo.gl/ToIfea) the crash happened Monday afternoon near Werner Road and Nollwood Lane.

Bremerton Police say the students suffered injuries that weren't considered to be life-threatening. They were taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Bremerton Police Chief Steve Strachan says the driver of the SUV has been arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.
