Nigeria Professional Football League champions Enyimba have been drawn alongside five-time African champions Zamalek in the group stages of the CAF Champions League.
Paul Aigbogun’s men will also face Algerian Champions Es Setif and South African league title holders Sundowns in group B, as they look to secure a third African crown.

Mamelodi Sundowns were handed a place into the CAF champions league group stage after AS Vita were disqualified for an undisclosed reason.

Howevever, Goal.com is reporting AS Vita were axed for fielding an ineligible player, Idrissa Traore, in the second round against Sundowns which they won on the away-goals-rule, after aggregate scores stood at 2-2.
Traore was handed a four-match ban in the preliminary round and was not qualified to have featured against the Brazilians, having served just one match against Zanzibar’s Orange Mafunzo.

Meanwhile, eight-time champions Al Ahly will take on Asec Mimosas, Zesco United and Wydad Casablanca in Group A.
Enyimba, champions in 2003 and 2004, are the only surviving Nigerian side in the continental club championship.
