Body in Golden Gate Park lake sparks suspicious death probe
Homicide detectives launched a suspicious death investigation Tuesday morning after the body of an unidentified man was found floating face down in a lake in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park, police said.
Detectives uncovered evidence suggesting there was a struggle prior to the man’s death, said Officer Giselle Talkoff, a spokeswoman for the San Francisco Police Department.
The San Francisco medical examiner's office is scheduled to conduct an autopsy to determine the exactly how the man died.
Detectives were also searching for security video on the perimeter of the park, hoping such footage will give them clues into what happened.
