A year after a Special Forces soldier was denied the Medal of Honor, a congressman has appealed to the new Army secretary to review the case. For his role in repelling a 2013 ambush in Afghanistan, Sgt. 1st Class Earl Plumlee had been recommended for the prestigious award but was ultimately denied by then-Army Secretary John McHugh.
